About Sparkfield
Sparkfield was created by a New York City public school teacher who was tired of one-size-fits-all instruction — and convinced there was a better way to reach every student.
In a typical classroom, students are reading two, three, sometimes four grade levels apart — but they're all handed the same worksheet. The students who are behind disengage because it's too hard. The students who are ahead disengage because it's too easy. And teachers are left trying to manage everything manually, often on their own time.
Sparkfield exists to change that. We built a platform where students explore a game world that adapts to their level, collect and level up Spark Cards for academic work, and get genuinely excited about science and social studies — while teachers get real-time insight into who needs help and who's ready to go further.
Every feature on this platform has been shaped by real classroom experience. We know what teachers actually need, because we've been there.
Students explore biomes, collect and level up Spark Cards, and team up in a class-wide mission to push back the Eclipse — all tied directly to standards-aligned science and social studies.
Assign challenges at each student's level. Track progress by class, student, and skill. No extra planning required.
AI grades essays, generates challenges, and flags concerns — but teachers always review and stay in control.
No ads. No data selling. FERPA and COPPA compliant. Built specifically for grades 3–5 classrooms.
We understand that before any platform can be used in schools, it needs to pass review. Here's what you need to know:
