Help
Get signed in, connect your family, and stay in touch.
Sign in or create an account
Parents and caregivers can use Create account on the sign-in screen. Use Teacher sign in for an existing educator account. Use the same sign-in method and account you used previously. Google sign-in and Sign in with Apple are available where configured. Apple sign-in is available in the iPhone app. On Android, use email or Google where available. Either button can create a new parent or teacher account. If you already use Sparkfield, use the same provider and account; choosing Hide My Email can create a separate account from an existing account using your regular email.
Forgot your password?
Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen and enter your account email. Check your inbox and spam folder for a one-use link that expires after one hour. If you requested more than one link, use the newest. Never send your password or reset link to support.
If you signed up using Google or Apple, use that same sign-in button. If Apple hides your email, confirmation messages are sent to the private relay address you shared. A private beta can have separate accounts and data from sparkfield.app; make sure you are using the account for the version you were invited to test.
Connect to your child
Ask your teacher for a family invitation. You can open the invitation link, scan its QR code, or enter its code using Connect a child. These are three ways to use an invitation; you only need one.
A student-specific invitation connects you to that student. With a class invitation, enter your child’s name and wait for the teacher to approve the request. You cannot see student information while approval is pending. Sign in or create a parent account to finish connecting.
If an invitation is expired, already used by another account, or incorrect, ask the teacher for a new one. Keep family invitations private. A student’s classroom login code is not necessarily a family invitation.
Messages, class updates, and more than one child
Messages shows conversations with teachers for your connected students. Class stream shows updates from their active classes. Use Connect a child again to add another student to the same parent account.
If a teacher or class is missing, confirm the connection with the teacher. Archived classes or changed teacher assignments can affect what appears. Messages are not monitored for emergencies; use your school’s urgent-contact process when needed.
Notifications and camera access
Enable notifications from your account settings when they are available, then allow them in your device’s settings. Some beta versions do not have push notifications enabled. You can still open the app to check for updates.
Camera access is optional for scanning QR codes. If you prefer not to allow it, enter the invitation code instead.
Wrong connection or a privacy request?
If you see the wrong student, stop viewing their information and contact the teacher or michael@thelaithaus.com. Contact Sparkfield to request a connection change, account deletion, access to your information, or a correction. Removing the app does not delete your account.
Safety reports and account deletion
Report a message or class update using its options menu. We review safety reports within 24 hours. For emergencies, use your school’s urgent-contact process or local emergency services.
Parents can delete their account from Account after email confirmation. We complete verified teacher account-deletion requests within 30 days, coordinating class ownership and school-managed records separately. We explain any retention required for school or legal obligations.
Contact support
Email michael@thelaithaus.com with a short description, whether you are a parent or teacher, and your app version if available. Share an error message or a cropped screenshot only after hiding student names, conversations, invitation codes, and other private information. Never send passwords or sign-in verification codes.
